USD/JPY Long Trend analysis (Months/Years)
The USD has been gaining steadily against the JPY from March 2012 (1 on the graph) trading at 82.50 and it has been strengthening gradually since then.
The USD has been advancing, growing at a rate of 25% on the JPY in the last two years. Long term investors need to look out for point 2 on the graph where the USD is traded now at about 102.30 against the Yen.
Current Trend
If the current analysis trend will continue to hold, the USD should be approaching the 107.00 trend line in the following months/years.
Breaking the trend
If the Dollar won’t follow this upward trend and will weaken against the Yen, like in the event that the Federal Reserve will increase the interest rate, then the Dollar will pull further away from point 2 tumbling to as low as 95.00 against the Japanese Yen.
