Bitcoin prices drifted lower for a second day today. On BTC-E, the fledgling cryptocurrency opened at $486. From here, a mini-rally to $496.62 ensued. Prices were unable to sustain the upward momentum however and in a few hours a new multiday low of $456.80 was reached. One bitcoin is currently trading at $470.70 on the exchange.No major bitcoin related news were released during the last 24 hours. In a short notice posted on their website, Chinese exchange Huobi said that they have restarted 3rd party deposits again. The move comes after several Chinese banks stopped servicing bitcoin exchanges and proceeded to close their accounts. While official confirmation has been lacking, the reason behind the deposit ban seems to be a notice send by the People’s Bank of China to banks in the country.
